Hill Creek Park sits along the shore of Greers Ferry Lake in the Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas, in the same lake system fed by Greers Ferry Dam and set against the low ridges near Round Mountain. The campground has 28 sites in total: 26 that accommodate both RVs and tents and two tent-only sites. Many of the RV-capable sites have electric hookups, and the park provides basic campground infrastructure flush and vault toilets, drinking water, coin showers, a dump station along with a boat ramp, a marina with rental services and supplies, and a designated swim area. The campsite groves are dominated by red cedar, black gum, red oak, elm, pecan and sweet gum, which offer summer shade and noticeable fall color; wildlife is abundant, with regular sightings of white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and a variety of songbirds. Outdoor activity options in and around Hill Creek extend well beyond the campground: Greers Ferry Lake's more than 30,000 acres of water support boating, sailing, waterskiing, scuba diving, and year-round lake fishing, while the Little Red River below the dam is regularly stocked by a trout hatchery for anglers seeking trout. Hikers can follow three National Nature Trails and a multi-purpose fitness trail that run through the lakeshore landscape, and the wider park system around the reservoir includes 18 shoreline parks with additional ramps, swim areas and marinas. The park is reached by paved roads northwest of Drasco, a short drive off State Route 225; for up-to-date fee, reservation and seasonal information call the local park number at (870) 948-2419 or the general information line at (501) 362-2416.
