Perched at the foot of Round Mountain in the north-central Arkansas Ozarks, Narrows Park sits along the shores of Greers Ferry Lake where the landscape shifts quickly from wooded ridges to broad water. The William Carl Garner Visitor Center and the Greers Ferry Dam are a short drive away, and the Little Red River below the dam is stocked by a trout hatchery, which helps make fishing productive year-round. Trails radiate out from the lakeshore three National Nature Trails and a multipurpose fitness trail invite hikers to move through stands of red cedar, black gum, red oak, elm, pecan and sweet gum, while marinas around the lake provide boat rentals, fuel, food and supplies for days spent boating, water-skiing or scuba diving on more than 30,000 acres of water. Wildlife viewing is a regular part of the visit; white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and a variety of songbirds are commonly seen near the campsites. The campground itself contains 59 sites in four loops Loop A has 8 sites, Loop B 18, Loop C 19 and Loop D 12 with 57 sites configured to accommodate both RVs and tents and 2 sites designated tent-only. Sites include electric hookups, and the park supports campers with flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, picnic shelters and a boat ramp; there are also picnic and playground areas and a specialized sport site for active families.
