Parker Creek Campground sits along the Little Missouri River arm of Lake Greeson, where pine and oak ridges drop toward roughly 7,260 surface acres of clear water used for boating, fishing and swimming. Anglers come for a wide suite of species largemouth, spotted and smallmouth bass, white and striped bass, walleye, crappie, catfish and bluegill and the tailwaters below Narrows Dam are known for trout and smallmouth. Boat ramps at the campground and four marinas on the lake make fueling, rentals and tackle runs convenient, and the water is popular for skiing, tubing and cruising as well as quiet fishing trips. On land, Lake Greeson offers about 30 miles of walking, nature and cycling trails (including a 31-mile cycle trail) and public lands managed as a Wildlife Management Area where hunters pursue deer, turkey, quail and small game; the lake also draws seasonal wildlife viewers, with bald eagles regularly wintering along the shoreline. Chimney Rock, a cinnabar-mine site reachable by a nature trail on the lake, and larger destinations such as the Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park are within easy driving distance for longer outings. The campground itself provides practical, family-friendly facilities: there are 58 sites in total 55 that accommodate both RVs and tents and three tent-only, non-electric sites and most of the RV/tent sites include electrical hookups. Every site has a picnic table, grill and lantern pole; shared services include drinking water, a dump station, two restrooms with hot showers, a boat ramp, a swimming beach and a playground, plus a short nature trail that's handy for birding and quick walks from camp. Private lodging and concession services are available elsewhere around the lake, and the area also supports off-highway vehicle recreation where designated. Campsite fees and reservation policies can change, so plan to check current rates and booking rules with the managing office before you go; access is straightforward from AR-19 north of Prescott and a few miles past Narrows Dam, and seasonal weather ranges from mild spring and fall conditions to hot, humid summers and variable winters (the latter being the best time for eagle viewing).
