“Beautiful COG CG. Quiet, serene and easy to access. We enjoyed our 1 night stay there.”
“A very quiet campground (we were the only campers). We felt safe. The gal who helped us was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We stayed here and visited the Civil Rights Museum in Selma. ”

Six Mile Creek Campground sits on a finger of the William "Bill" Dannelly Reservoir, part of the Alabama River system that spreads across roughly 27 square miles and more than 500 miles of shoreline through the Black Prairie Belt. The setting alternates between long, shallow creek arms and stands of hardwood and pine on the gently rolling prairie soils; this patchwork of grassland and forest makes the shoreline a productive place for anglers and wildlife. Fishing from shore or boat is a main draw here bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish are common and the area hosts local fishing tournaments and seasonal festivals while whitetail deer and wild turkey that move through the woods create good bow-hunting opportunities in season. Trails and quiet stretches of shoreline invite hiking and wildlife viewing, and the reservoir's broad waters support boating and other water sports accessed from the campground's dock. The campground itself is a small, mostly waterfront facility with 32 campsites in total: 30 sites configured to accommodate both RVs and tents and 2 tent-only sites. The site area includes family sites with electric hookups; park conveniences include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station and a boat dock. Six Mile Creek is open seasonally from April through Labor Day; fees, reservation windows and any access requirements can change, so plan to contact the managing office before you go. For location, the campground lies south of Selma reachable by following US-41 south and then the county road signs into the park making it an easy base for anglers, boaters, hunters and hikers exploring this stretch of the Alabama River Lakes.
