Holiday Park sits on the west side of Benbrook Lake, just southwest of Fort Worth and a short drive off US-377, where the lakeshore gives way to a patchwork of wooded bottoms, upland prairie, open shoreline and rocky hillsides. The campground is the primary facility for individual and family camping at Benbrook Lake and provides easy access to the lake's recreational network: boat launch ramps and loading docks for boating and water sports, miles of developed trails for hiking and horseback riding, and shoreline fishing and wildlife viewing. On a typical visit you'll see white-tailed deer and wild turkey moving through the trees, and smaller birds such as bluebirds, kinglets, woodpeckers and chickadees around the campsites. Fort Worth's museums, botanical gardens, zoo and the Stockyards are within a reasonable drive if you want an easier-day diversion from camping life; for local details, call (817) 292-2400 or (877) 444-6777 and check the Benbrook Lake website. The campground totals 105 campsites, with a mix designed to accommodate RVs, tents and stock: 67 sites are equipped for both RV and tent use, there are 7 dedicated RV sites, 30 tent-only sites and a single equestrian site; two of the developed loops are named on site maps HOLIDAY CAMPGROUND has 24 sites and SOUT has 32. Facilities include screened shelters, an equestrian campsite, walk-in tent sites, restrooms with showers and a trailer dump station, plus wide open grassy areas for informal recreation. Utility hookups vary by site: screened shelters have water and 50-amp electric, standard RV sites offer water with 50/30-amp hookups or electric-only options, and basic tent sites are available. Current fees are $40 for a screen shelter (water & 50-amp), $28 for RV sites with water & 50/30-amp electric, $26 for RV electric-only (no water), and $14 for tent sites.
