“very well kept location with stunning views”
“Such beautiful place, the views were stunning. The staff very helpful. The only thing I thought was odd was they locked the gates at a specific time. Which was 10pm so if you left for an emergency, do was in town enjoying a movie, etc. You cave no way of getting back in. ”

Washington Cove Campground sits along the shore of Copan Lake in Oklahoma's Green Country, where the 4,850-acre impoundment on the Little Caney River meets a patchwork of grasslands, croplands and woodlands. The lake itself is a working fishery expect largemouth bass, white crappie, channel and flathead catfish and a variety of sunfish and the Corps-managed lands around the water provide miles of public hunting and wildlife-management area. Hikers and equestrians can follow roughly three miles of trails that thread through lakeshore woods and open meadows, while swimmers and boaters use the lake directly; a boat ramp at the campground makes launching easy and gives quick access to the main body of water for fishing or a day on the water. The campground is large and straightforward to use: there are 107 total sites, 101 of which accommodate both RVs and tents and include electric hookups, while six are tent-only sites for those seeking a simpler setup. On-site conveniences include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, a playground for kids and a day-use group picnic shelter. Washington Cove is reached a short drive west of Highway 75 on Highway 10, with a short local road (3970 Road) and signs leading into the loop; because details such as fees, reservation availability, and seasonal access can change, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office or the park's reservation system before you go to confirm rates, make reservations and check for any seasonal restrictions.
