“Smaller , quiet campground ( we were there in September). Sites available right on the beautiful Hungry Horse reservoir. Good access to Glacier and nearby cities. ”
“Beautiful location, road going in was very rough on our single axel trailer but overall worth it. Would want to spend a week next time. ”
“Nice experience, outhouse was clean and actually not a negative smell (rare). Wood was there left by the previous campers. Nice set up for a group site. ”

Emery Bay Campground sits on the shoreline of Hungry Horse Reservoir high in the Rocky Mountains, less than 30 miles from the Continental Divide and about 15 miles southwest of the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park. The site layout includes 28 campsites that accommodate both tents and RVs, and there are two separate group loops on-site that can handle up to 75 guests each. Sites come with picnic tables, metal campfire rings with grills and access to vault toilets; an on-site host is available for questions. Drinking water is provided seasonally after June 15th, but it is not a fill station, so RVers should arrive with tanks topped off. The campground enforces a 16-consecutive-day stay limit and allows two motorized vehicles per site (the first vehicle is included in the site fee; the second is charged $5 on arrival). Recreation centers on the 27,750-acre Hungry Horse Reservoir, where a primitive boat ramp accommodates smaller watercraft for boating, and shoreline spots are popular for swimming and casting for cutthroat trout and other species. Beyond the reservoir, trailheads and forest roads in Flathead National Forest open up hiking, wildlife viewing, hunting and, seasonally, winter sports; the larger forest also supports biking, horseback riding, OHV use and visitor-center resources. Reservation and fee details: individual site reservations are $18 per camper unit per night and group site rates range from $90 to $200 per night depending on group size (1 25: $90; 26 50: $150; 51 75: $200). To reserve by phone call 1-877-444-6777. Be aware of the concessionaire's cancellation practice: cancellations made within the 4-day reservation window may be considered for a refund of camping fees only and will automatically forfeit the first night's fee; day-of-arrival cancellations should be reported by calling Cheryl at 406-752-PWAI (7924) or 406-404-4164, and no-shows are not eligible for refunds. To reach Emery Bay from Martin City, head south off Highway 2 onto East Side Reservoir Road and continue roughly 6 miles into the campground.
