Glacier National Park

Two Medicine Campground sits in the east-side Two Medicine Valley of Glacier National Park, surrounded by the park's characteristic alpine meadows, carved valleys and glacial landforms. The site is largely self-contained: a ranger station and a small campstore are close by, but there are no other services or accommodations elsewhere in the valley, and you should not expect cell service or Wi-Fi. The campground comprises 96 sites divided into three loops Loop A (34 sites), Loop B (37 sites) and Loop C (25 sites) with 92 sites configured for both RVs and tents and four reserved as tent-only. Potable water is available within the campground, and restroom buildings provide flush toilets and sinks with running water during the park's peak season; because this location is unstaffed, contact with park staff for general information goes through the main office at (406) 888-7800. Two Medicine is a practical jumping-off point for day hiking on the park's east side: many trailheads begin at higher elevation here than on the west side, so you often gain views with less uphill slog. Beyond hiking and camping, Glacier National Park supports a wide range of backcountry and front-country activities auto touring, biking, boating and paddling, climbing, fishing, horseback riding and horse camping, swimming, and visits to historic and cultural sites and Two Medicine provides straightforward access to the valley trails that bring you into that larger network. Nearby destinations off the park road include Waterton Lakes National Park across the Canadian border and the Blackfeet Reservation to the east; the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning is noted for regional cultural context. Because fees, reservation windows and seasonal access can change, check the National Park Service website or call the main office before you go to confirm current reservation policies and seasonal openings.
