Town Creek Campground sits on the shoreline of Columbus Lake along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, surrounded by thick hardwoods and gently sloping banks that drop to calm water. The facility provides 108 campsites in total: 98 sites equipped to serve both RVs and tents with electric and water hookups, and 10 primitive tent-only sites tucked along Kennedy Lake's shore. Scattered picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and lantern posts line the waterfront, and campers can use hot showers in the central bathhouse. A short hill above the main channel gives views of Kennedy Lake and the Tombigbee; on the far side of Kennedy Lake a stone waterfall feeds a creek that winds through the park, adding repeated crossings of the nature trail by wooden footbridge and a quietly scenic backdrop for morning coffee or an evening stroll. The campground is set up for water-focused recreation and family activity: there is direct access to the Tenn-Tom for boating, a fishing dock for anglers chasing bass, catfish and crappie, and two nearby lakes (Columbus and Kennedy) to explore by boat or from shore. On-land options include three playgrounds, a nature trail suitable for hiking and birding, and bike-friendly park roads. The site sits within the larger Tenn-Tom corridor, where visitors can also find opportunities for wildlife viewing, historic and cultural sites, visitor-center information, and privately owned lodges and concessions nearby. Town Creek is a short drive from Columbus and West Point, Mississippi, where you'll find shopping, restaurants and golf; from Columbus follow Highway 45 north to Highway 50, go west past the Tenn-Tom bridge and head north on Town Creek Road to reach the park.
