Beauty Creek Campground sits at about 2,100 feet in a narrow valley carved by Beauty Creek, a short half-mile from the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene. The site character is a sparsely wooded bottom flanked by heavily timbered hillsides, with the broader Idaho Panhandle National Forests rising toward the Cascade and Bitterroot ranges. Hikers will find immediate access to the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail the trailhead begins at the campground and the 5-mile route climbs moderately to two overlooks with clear views of the lake. Shorter options include the 1.8-mile Beauty Creek Overlook and the 4.9-mile Mt. Coeur d'Alene Viewpoint, and anglers will appreciate reports of northern pike, chinook salmon and bass in the nearby stream and lake waters. The campground contains 20 total campsites: 10 that accommodate both RVs and tents and 10 tent-only sites. Basic amenities on site include vault toilets, drinking water, and paved parking aprons; the nearest boat ramp at Mineral Ridge is less than a mile away, providing quick access for boating and fishing on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Lake-side recreation canoeing, boating, paddle boating and commercial services such as ferry and sea plane rides or para-sailing from lakeside towns is a short drive from the campground.
