“Great site, I did not know there would be zero cell service. Need it for All trails hiking, emergency, etc. cooking grate was broken. ”
“Nice and remote campground, bathrooms were very clean, water was far away, but spots were very nice and clean. ”
“Very overgrown. The whole campground needs a clean up after what looks like storm damage. Though it’s named Bumblebee, way too many yellow jackets - hang some traps. ”

Bumblebee Campground sits at about 2,200 feet beside Bumblebee Creek and a short walk from the Little North Fork Coeur d'Alene River, placing you in a meadowed, creekside setting well suited to anglers and folks who want easy river access. The site is reached from Interstate 90 via the Kingston exit and a short drive on Forest Road 9 and the Bumblebee cutoff to Forest Road 796; once there the campground splits into two loops (single sites are on the right-hand loop, the group loop on the left). There are 13 campsites that accommodate both RVs and tents, and a designated group site that can hold up to 100 people. Roads through the campground are paved, parking spurs are sealed gravel, drinking water is provided via a hand pump, and each loop has vault toilets basic but reliable amenities for a relatively small forest campground. The location makes Bumblebee a practical base for river recreation and seasonal hunting: swimming, floating and wading are all easy from the creekside sites, and trout fishing (mostly rainbow and cutthroat) is best roughly a half-mile downstream in the Little North Fork. If you want motorized trails, the 803 Motorized Trail System in the Steamboat Creek area is about 15 miles away and supplies dedicated off-road riding. The campground also puts you within reach of broader Idaho Panhandle National Forest activities hiking, biking, boating, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and OHV use and the town of Coeur d'Alene (lake boating, parasailing, seaplane tours, shops and restaurants) is the nearest service center. Reservations are managed through the NRRS system; changing or canceling a reservation carries a $10 service fee and late cancellations may incur additional charges, so check the NRRS Reservation Policy before you book.
