“Bathrooms need renovating badly everything else was great camp host were awesome.”
“Always enjoy camping at Holiday. Gate attendants were great. Water was down more than usual in Late August, because of work to be done on the dam. So did not give 5 star.”
“Camp ground was nice, facilities were nicely laid out, park rangers were very helpful and nice.”

Holiday Campground sits on the western shore of West Point Lake on a wooded peninsula that looks out over the 25,900-acre reservoir where the Chattahoochee threads 35 miles along the Alabama Georgia line. The facility contains 129 campsites in all: 117 sites are set up to accommodate both RVs and tents while 12 are tent-only, and the campground includes two group camping areas as well as a mix of electric and non-electric sites. Three named loops provide concentrated site clusters LOOA with 15 sites, LOOE with 16 sites and LOOI with 12 sites so you can pick a smaller, quieter loop or a spot closer to the water or common areas. Courts for basketball and tennis and a playground give families other options beyond the lakeshore, and a county road off State Highway 109 provides direct access from LaGrange, a short drive to the east. The larger West Point Lake system supplies most of the recreational draw: more than 40 square miles of water and some 525 miles of shoreline support boating, water sports, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Anglers will find largemouth bass, catfish, crappie and bream throughout the lake; bank fishing is especially good at public piers in nearby Hardley Creek, Rocky Point and McGee Bridge parks, and those piers include access for persons with disabilities Hardley Creek also has a small pond set aside where preteens and visitors with disabilities can fish. Boaters have plenty of launch options with ramps in 34 public recreation areas and two privately owned full-service marinas, and several trails (including the Lakeside Trail) run along the shoreline for hikers and mountain bikers. Practical details: reservations and financial transactions at West Point Lake campgrounds are handled by card only (credit, debit or prepaid credit card), and a $10 service fee applies to reservation changes or cancellations; late cancellations may incur additional fees per the R1S Reservation Policy.
