“Our camping of 8 days was very enjoyable. The staff was efficient. It may have been because of the Fed shutdown the contractor for cleaning was slack. Love a campground that does not hassle you every day about ridiculous policies. Great stay at White Oak Creek. ”
“Had a great time. Park was very clean. Easy to get in and out. Only problem people letting Dogs run lose , load music.”

White Oak Creek Campground sits on the Georgia Alabama shore of Walter F. George Lake (also called Lake Eufaula), where lowland shoreline meets dense stands of mixed hardwoods. The campground has 128 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents, and many sites have electric and water hookups; three principal loops CVIE (41 sites), MPOI (29 sites) and OAKW (30 sites) account for a large portion of those spaces. On-site facilities support multi-night stays for RVers and tent campers alike: you'll find flush toilets and showers, drinking water, laundry facilities and three dump stations, plus a playground and wide open areas for kids to run. A boat ramp is conveniently nearby for quick access to the lake's 640 miles of shoreline, making it easy to head out for water sports, swimming or a day of boating. The lake stretches roughly 85 miles up the Chattahoochee River and is noted locally for fishing expect largemouth and white bass, hybrid strains, crappie, channel catfish and bream, with good bank-fishing spots along the shore. Beyond fishing and boating, the forested landscape invites hiking and wildlife viewing; common sightings include waterfowl, deer, squirrels, rabbits, eagles, hawks and the occasional bobcat. Historic towns with antebellum mansions, such as Eufaula, Alabama and Cuthbert, Georgia, are a short drive away and add options for auto touring and cultural visits. This location is staffed (call (334) 687-3101 for current information), and fees, reservation policies and seasonal availability can vary check with local staff or the Corps of Engineers website before you go. For a closer look at facilities around the lake, a virtual tour is available online (http://photographyoptions.net/images/wfgeorge/tour.html).
