“We love group site #1 because of all of the tables available for our group and there are no close neighbors. The camp host did a very good job of keeping the restroom clean this year! She deserves accolades!”
“We had a great time, the campgrounds was clean and the restrooms were clean and smelled good ”
“Very peaceful. Kids had fun riding their bikes around the loop and playing volleyball.”

Oak Creek Campground sits along the cool ribbon of Oak Creek in central Utah's Fishlake National Forest, about 4.25 miles east of Oak City. A dense stand of oak, maple and cottonwood shades the creek banks, creating a leafy corridor where rainbow trout are regularly caught and kids splash in shallow pools on hot afternoons. The site count is small and practical: there are 21 campsites in total, and all 21 are configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, so families with trailers and traditional campers can camp side-by-side. Basic on-site facilities include picnic tables at campsites, campfire rings and grills, vault toilets and a drinking-water source; the campground also has an amphitheater, a volleyball court and a play field that make it easy to organize group activities or keep kids busy while adults fish or relax. Recreational opportunities extend beyond the campground's banks. Fishing in Oak Creek is the main draw here, and several off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails in the canyon are accessible nearby for riders who want to explore the surrounding backcountry. The campground contains four reservable group sites for larger gatherings; for current fees, reservation windows, seasonal openings and any access advisories, check with the Fishlake National Forest ranger district or the official reservation system before you go. Beyond Oak Creek, the wider Fishlake National Forest offers a broad mix of activities hiking, biking, boating, horseback riding and horse camping, wildlife viewing, hunting, interpretive programs and opportunities related to forest recreation infrastructure such as fire lookouts and recreation cabins so Oak Creek makes a convenient base for a variety of day trips.
