“Campground is really well kept and clean. Showers are nice and hot and the sites are great. The camp hosts are all amazing here. They are very helpful in helping with extending your stay if you want to. Highly recommend this park”
“The sites are very close together, but it's an awesome view of the lake. The whole campground is unlevel. There are steps and hills everywhere. Restrooms were very nice and well kept. Playground was nice. Fire pits were located in interesting places. ”
“Camp attendant's aren't very friendly. They seem to enjoy being in charge! ”

Floating Mill Park sits on the Highland Rim along Center Hill Lake, with the water lapping the campground on three sides and mixed hardwood hills rising beyond the shore. The lake itself runs about 64 miles up the Caney Fork River and yields some 415 miles of forested shoreline, so the feeling here is as much lakeside refuge as it is working reservoir and recreation area. The campground contains 100 sites in total: 41 that accommodate both RVs and tents, 20 dedicated RV sites, and 39 tent-only sites several of those tent sites sit right on the water. Most sites offer electric and water hookups, and the larger day-use group picnic area can be reserved for up to 125 guests; that shelter includes picnic tables plus water and a 30-amp electric hookup. Practical amenities are straightforward and well sited for a comfortable stay: flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, a boat ramp and fish-cleaning station, a playground for kids, and hiking access directly from the campground. Recreation at Floating Mill centers on the lake: boating, waterskiing, canoeing and a solid mix of fishing for bream, walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie, catfish and white bass; below the dam the Caney Fork River becomes one of Tennessee's most productive trout waters. Around the lake there are roughly nine miles of trails, including the Lost Springs Trail a two-mile loop that skirts the hillside above the campground and Hurricane Marina. The broader Center Hill Lake area also supports biking, auto touring, environmental education programs, historic and cultural sites, picnicking and wildlife viewing, plus privately operated lodges and concession services nearby. If you want to leave the water for a day trip, Edgar Evins State Park (about a 25-minute drive) has a visitor center tower with sweeping views over the lake, and Burgess Falls State Park (around 35 minutes away) showcases the Falling Water River's roughly 250-foot drop, multiple waterfall overlooks and a large native butterfly garden. Campground fees, reservation rules and seasonal openings can change, so check the official park website or call the visitor center before you go; reservations are a good idea for weekends and for booking the group shelter.
