“Very scenic campground and surrounding area. Quiet. Nice modern restrooms.”
“Park is nice, it is an older park so don’t expect all sites to be level/paved. They do have some 50amp with water and sewer. Shower house could use a good cleaning. ”

Piedmont Park Campground sits along the shores of Clearwater Lake amid the rolling foothills of the Ozarks, where sycamores and maples shade campsites and spring brings explosions of redbud, dogwood, hawthorn and wild plum. The lake is managed as a "wilderness lake" there are no private boat docks, so much of the shoreline remains in natural condition with high bluffs carpeted in sweet william, indented bays and quiet coves that anglers and paddlers can probe. On any given morning you're likely to spot wetland waterfowl and geese, and deer or the occasional fox slip through the tree line; miles of trails and a watchable-wildlife area give hikers and birders plenty to explore. For people who want water time, the park supports a broad range of boating and water-sports activities (boating, jet skiing, canoeing and swimming), and both experienced anglers and beginners regularly fish the lake. The campground provides modern conveniences to support extended stays: there are 96 total campsites, the vast majority configured for both RVs and tents (94 sites), with 2 sites set aside for tents only. Sites are arranged across three loops Loop A (45 sites), Loop B (23 sites) and Loop C (25 sites) and many spaces offer electrical and water hookups; the campground also has a dump station, hot showers, picnic shelters, playgrounds, a swimming area and a boat ramp, plus a concession site and a specialized sport site among its recreation amenities. Piedmont Park is accessible from the town of Piedmont via Missouri State Highway HH (roughly a 6-mile drive to the top of the dam where signs direct you into the park). Fees, reservation requirements and seasonal opening dates are not listed here, so plan to check the park's official website or contact park staff before you go to confirm rates, make reservations and learn about any access restrictions.
