“Beautiful campground. Wish there was sewer at the sites but they do have two dump stations. We did have an issue with the electric 50 amp. Our surge protector kept detecting power drops which would cause our air conditioners to turn off for 90 seconds and come back on. ”

Victoria Campground sits along the shoreline of Allatoona Lake amid the region's rolling, forested hills, roughly 30 35 miles north of Atlanta and easy to reach from I-575 near Woodstock. The campground contains 72 reservable sites 71 configured for both RVs and tents and one tent-only site laid out within short walking distance of a dock and a designated swimming beach. Sites are described as spacious and come with fire rings and picnic areas; drinking water, flush toilets and coin-operated showers are on site to make multi-night stays comfortable. From your campsite you'll have direct access to the lake's fishing and boating opportunities: Allatoona is stocked annually with bass, crappie, bream, gar and catfish, and there are fishing jetties around the shoreline as well as eight marinas on the lake for boat rentals and services. Wildlife viewing, paddling and swimming are all common day-to-day activities here, and the visitor center for the Allatoona Lake project which overlooks the dam and houses exhibits on the area's Native American, gold-mining and Civil War history is a short drive away. Practical details are straightforward: campsite fees range from $28 $32 per night, and all sites are reservable through Recreation.gov or by phone. The location is staffed (call local staff at (770) 928-8906), and reservation changes or cancellations carry a $10 service fee; late cancellations (the day before or day of arrival) will forfeit the first night's fee and no-shows can be assessed a $20 service fee in addition to loss of use fees. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days after your scheduled departure, and some facilities or permits may include a non-refundable reservation fee. Beyond the campground, nearby attractions include Woodstock's shops and restaurants, the Etowah Indian Mounds and Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Red Top Mountain State Park's trail system, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield, and the Atlanta area's larger draws such as Zoo Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium for day trips.
