“Really nice, perfect for our one night stay on our way Northeast. Wish we could have stayed few more days. ”
“This is urban camping. Campground is right next to a road that is active all night. Would only recommend for those that are hard side camping. ”
“There wasn't anyone in the welcome center to instruct us on how to get to our site. As a result, we had a difficult time getting into our campsite as it was angled in the opposite direction.”

Gulpha Gorge Campground sits along Gulpha Creek under a high canopy of hardwoods, a short drive from downtown Hot Springs and the historic Bathhouse Row. The site serves as a practical, year-round base for exploring the national park's 26 miles of trails: there's a trailhead inside the campground that leads up to Hot Springs Mountain and then down toward Bathhouse Row, so you can hike to the springs and return to your site without getting back in the car. The facility has 40 campsites, each configured to serve both RVs and tents and equipped with 30- and 50-amp electrical service plus water and sewer hookups and paved parking. Campground roads are paved and one-way to reduce through traffic; you'll also find three separate restroom buildings, a day-use picnic area, picnic tables at every site, fire rings or grills, and campground hosts on site to help with questions. Practicalities are straightforward: Gulpha Gorge is open all year and fills up quickly reservations are recommended so plan ahead, especially in fall and winter when the campground still sees heavy use. Cancellation policy: refunds more than 72 hours before arrival incur a $10 transaction fee; within 72 hours, $10 plus the first night's fee are charged. Note that while the campground is RV-friendly, there are no universally accessible sites; Site 16 is the only campsite with paved access to a comfort station and may be the best option for visitors with limited mobility. The creek beside the loop is shallow and popular for wading and cooling off, and downtown restaurants, shops and the bathhouses are only a few minutes away; for directions the physical address is 305 Gorge Road on the east side of Hot Springs off US-70B (no mail delivery at that address).
