“Great location! Very central to easy hikes and close to the salmon viewing spot!!!”
“I love this campground. It’s my second time visiting. The campground is clean, well looked after, and pleasantly quiet with campers all around. Everyone was respectful of keeping noise level down. The toilet area was clean. Hikes were great! Campsites are very close to level. ”

Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground sits along the Sol Duc River beneath a canopy of old-growth forest in the northern part of Olympic National Park, about 28 miles west of Port Angeles and just west of Lake Crescent. The campground contains 96 total sites: 79 that accommodate both RVs and tents and 17 RV-only sites. Sites are grouped across Loop A (38 sites) and Loop B (40 sites), plus a single group site; RV length accommodations include one 20' site, seven 26' sites, five 36' sites and four 36' sites listed with slide-out clearance. Every campsite has paved access, a picnic table and a fire ring, and nearby comfort stations and lodge loops provide flush toilets and potable water. Reservations are recommended and available through Recreation.gov for many sites, while a portion of tent sites are held for walk-in campers; cancellation requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before arrival. Note on fees and passes: pool access and other resort fees are separate from park entry, Interagency Senior and Access pass discounts apply to tent sites but are not available for RV electric sites, and the group campsite fee is $43 per night for up to eight people plus $2 per additional person per night. The resort's defining feature is its mineral pools and the trails that fan out from the property. Sol Duc operates three mineral hot spring pools heated between roughly 98 107°F (37 40°C) and a large freshwater swimming pool that varies seasonally between about 50 85°F (10 29°C); the large mineral fountain pool meets accessibility standards and the freshwater pool is universally accessible. Pool sessions have a separate fee ($18 adults, $12 children ages 4 12 and $12 seniors 62+) and towel rentals are $5 (you may bring your own; lockers are available but locks are not provided); up-to-date pool schedules and session reservations are posted on the resort website. Trails leave directly from the lodge area, including the popular 1.6-mile round-trip walk to Sol Duc Falls and the Lover's Lane Loop, and in autumn you can watch salmon working upriver at the Salmon Cascades Overlook. The Springs Restaurant currently offers takeout (breakfast orders 7:30 10:00 AM, lunch/dinner 12:00 8:00 PM). Beyond the campground, Olympic National Park delivers a broad mix of activities hiking, wildlife and salmon viewing, fishing, paddling and boating, climbing and horseback options with nearby attractions such as Lake Crescent Lodge, Hurricane Ridge and the coastal beaches like Ruby Beach within easy day-trip range.
