Adelaide Campground sits in Corn Creek Canyon on the south flank of the Pahvant Mountain Range a few miles east of Kanosh, with Corn Creek running alongside the loop and a mixed stand of maple and cottonwood trees providing most of the shade. The site rests at about 5,500 feet, with pines and summer wildflowers scattered on the slopes above, so mornings are often cool and the creek is a steady focal point for the day's activities. Anglers can fish for brown and rainbow trout right in Corn Creek, while hikers and mountain bikers will find trailheads beginning nearby; the campground also provides convenient access to the Paiute ATV Trail for off-highway vehicle riding. Beyond the campground, Fishlake National Forest offers a broad range of recreational options from boating and horseback riding to wildlife viewing, hunting, interpretive programs and overnight stays in historic fire lookouts and cabins so Adelaide can be a quiet base for many kinds of outings. The campground is small and straightforward: it has a total of 9 campsites (9 both RV sites & tent sites) and one group site that can accommodate up to 48 guests and as many as 15 vehicles. Each of the nine individual sites is sized to hold a camp trailer and two vehicles and is rated for six to eight people; there are no formal tent pads but tents can be pitched at the sites. Visitors will find flush and vault toilets, potable drinking water, a large amphitheater and a covered picnic shelter/pavilion on site; roads and parking spurs are gravel. Adelaide is reached from Kanosh by heading east about five miles to Forest Road 106 (FR-106); check with Fishlake National Forest for current fees, reservation rules and seasonal opening dates before you go.
