“Great little spot. Kind of loud from road traffic, but nice and clean. More set up for RV, but we we able to have a good spot for our tent. ”
“The campground was incredibly well kept and the facilities were just as nice! Lots of festivities going on and the company was incredible! 100 out of 10!”

Harpeth River Bridge Campground sits on the right bank of the Harpeth River about 10 miles northwest of Ashland City and roughly a 30-minute drive from downtown Nashville. This compact site has 14 total campsites, and each of the 14 sites is set up to serve both RVs and tent campers every site has water and 50-amp electric hookups and most pads are concreted for easy level parking. Additional on-site amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a new boat ramp for launching, a large picnic shelter and pavilion for group meals, a playground for kids and horseshoe pits. The river wraps nearly all the way around the campground so sites feel like waterfront slips shaded by mature trees; that riverside position makes the loop of waterside campsites particularly convenient for anglers and paddlers. Note the campground's reservation policy: staff will hold a reserved site until 2:00 pm on the day following your arrival date, but if you expect to arrive late you should call the park attendant to notify them if you do not show up before that 2:00 pm cutoff on the day after arrival, the reservation will be canceled. Recreation at Harpeth River Bridge and the broader Cheatham Lake area is oriented toward boating, canoeing and fishing, with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency managing nearby wildlife management areas and Metro Nashville-Davidson County operating riverfront park facilities. The temperate local climate extends the season for water-based activities, and the campground's new ramp makes getting boats on the river straightforward; the surrounding Cheatham Lock and Dam area also supports hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, auto touring and other water-sport opportunities at nearby Doziers Dock and Pardue Recreation Area. If you're planning a family trip, the combination of the playground, pavilion and picnic shelter makes group meals and kid-friendly play easy, while its proximity to Nashville keeps city services and entertainment within an easy drive.
