“I love the waterfront campsites and the close proximity to the mountain biking trails”
“With as much effort put into the camping pads, there should be some effort put towards the bathrooms. Disgusting and takes away from the campground”

Susquehannock Campground sits on the shores of Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania's ridge-and-valley country, where oak-hickory forest gives way to mountain ridges and rocky cliffs. The campground is primitive in character and accommodates 62 campsites in total: 47 sites that can handle both RVs and tents and 15 tent-only sites. Many of those sites are right on the water; others are a short walk from the shoreline. There are no electrical hookups, but vault toilets and drinking water are provided; showers are available a short distance away at Seven Points Beach and coin-operated laundry can be found at nearby Seven Points Campground. Fees are straightforward waterfront sites are $25.00 and standard sites are $20.00 and staffing is limited, so campers should call (814) 658-3405 for current information, availability, and any reservation details before heading out. The campground is accessible from Route 26 south of Huntingdon via Seven Points Drive and Baker's Hollow Road, and basic services including groceries, bait, gas and a full-service marina are only about three miles from the entrance. The lake is the real draw for activity-minded visitors: Raystown extends roughly 27 miles and supports boating, swimming, water sports and a visitor center that hands out a free regional guide to rentals and points of interest. Anglers will find muskies, smallmouth and largemouth bass and brown trout in the lake, while stream and river fishing plus designated hunting areas are nearby for deer, turkey, grouse and Canada geese. Trails for hiking and mountain biking are within easy reach including the Allegrippis Trails, Old Loggers Trail, Hillside Nature Trail and Terrace Mountain Trail and the area's wildlife sightings commonly include white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, bald eagles, ospreys and great blue herons, with the occasional black bear. For day trips, the town of Huntingdon (about 14 miles to the north) offers restaurants and theaters, and local attractions such as Lincoln and Indian Caverns, the Altoona Railroaders Museum and the Swigart Antique Car Museum are all within driving distance. Summers bring a steady schedule of family events around the lake, and spring and fall offer cool nights and pleasant days (typical recreation-season temperatures range from the 60s to the 90s with three to four inches of rain per month).
