For those looking for a rugged experience, Stone Mountain offers four primitive campsites along Widow's Creek Trail. This trail is part of the Mountains-to-Sea State Trail, although the MST continues past a fork on the right, while the campsites are down the left path. Each campsite accommodates up to 6 people. The hike is about 1.3 miles from the parking lot to campsite A and about 1.8 miles to campsite D. Reservations are required.
