Eagle Rock Campground sits on the White River Arm of Table Rock Lake in gently rolling Ozark countryside, about 3 miles south of the small community of Eagle Rock along Highway 86 and roughly 40 miles from Branson. The campground's open, grassy sites are spread across a setting of oak and hickory woodland that slopes toward the water, and all 50 campsites are set up to accommodate both tents and RVs many with electrical hookups. Practical comforts are in place: hot showers, drinking water, a dump station and a full-service marina on the lake to handle fuel, boat service and other needs. Families will appreciate the on-site beach and boat ramp for easy water access, plus a playground and volleyball court for shore-side recreation. Gate attendants at the entrance can answer questions and explain site fees and on-site rules, but they cannot make reservations by phone; to reserve a site call the national reservation line at (877) 444-6777. The recreation options spill from the shoreline into the surrounding forest. Table Rock Lake supports boating, water sports and scuba diving, and anglers target crappie, catfish, bluegill and most famously bass. A roughly 2-mile stretch of the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail running from the Dewey Short Visitors Center toward the state park marina offers lake views, spring wildflowers and blooming dogwood and redbud, and autumn brings notable fall color. For longer hikes or mountain biking, parts of the Mark Twain National Forest are easily reached from the campground. The Dewey Short Visitors Center at the dam provides films and exhibits about the area's natural and human history and offers a courtesy dock for boaters; seasonal commercial boat cruises also operate on Table Rock Lake.
