“We enjoyed the peaceful river view and gorgeous sunsets and found all staff friendly. Many thanks! ”
“My buddy and I were in a bike packing trip when we stayed here. The showers and restrooms were nice. The sunrise was great over the water. There's a gas station at the entrance of the camp site with food and snacks. ”

Perched along a broad bend of the Arkansas River where the eastern edges of the Ozark and Ouachita ranges overlap, Toad Suck Campground is a shady, riverfront facility that changes character with the seasons: dogwood, redbud and wild plum bloom in spring and the hillsides flare with autumn color. The campground contains 52 sites in total 46 sites configured for both RVs and tents, 1 RV-only site, and 5 tent-only sites arranged across four loops (Loop A: 15 sites, Loop B: 8 sites, Loop C: 10 sites, Loop D: 14 sites). Of those sites, 48 provide electric and water hookups; beyond the individual sites you'll find hot showers, multiple playgrounds, a boat ramp for river access and five group picnic shelters for reunions or large gatherings. The entrance is readily reached from Conway (about 7 miles west on SR-60) or from I-40 via Dave Ward Drive/Hwy 286 south, with the park access road leading to the main gate immediately downstream of the river bridge. Recreation at Toad Suck focuses on river-oriented activity and family-friendly facilities. Fishing is a major draw year-round anglers chase bream, crappie, white bass, largemouth bass and several species of catfish and the boat ramp makes launching easy for boating and other water sports. On land you'll find space for picnicking and wildlife viewing, playgrounds for children and a park specialized-sport area for casual games or practice rides on nearby roads and trails; the site list also includes camping and biking among its primary activities. The campground is popular with families and groups, and organized activities or large events require a special event application (available from park management). For practical details such as current fees, reservation rules and seasonal notices, contact the park or check the official site before you go; nearby points of interest include the Cadron Blockhouse replica at Cadron Settlement Park and Conway's annual Toad Suck Daze festival.
