“What a surprise. Such a gem. Wonderful park ”
“Overall we had a great time, the bath house was well maintained, the parking spaces were clean. The only complaints were the security light outside the Bath house was out and the light over the Men's shower area was out.”
“Great park; you see al kinds of boats on the river. The attendants are nice people. I look forward to going there again. ”

Service Campground sits on the high banks of Coffeeville Lake, part of the Black Warrior & Tombigbee Waterway, where the lake's 8,800 surface acres stretch along roughly 97 miles of shoreline. The campground is set among mixed pine and hardwood stands with adjacent conifer pockets and rolling meadows that put on colorful wildflower displays in season; wood ducks, bald eagles and a variety of other water- and forest-dwelling wildlife are commonly seen from campsites or along short walks. The lake itself is a draw for boaters and anglers: fishing from shore or by boat for bass, crappie, bream and catfish is common, and the wider waterway supports water-skiing, sailing, powerboating and jet skiing. A concrete boat ramp at the facility makes launching straightforward, and three privately operated marinas elsewhere on the waterway provide fuel, repairs and rentals for longer outings. Onshore activities at Service include picnicking, a playground for children, short hiking and biking options, and ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and shoreline sightseeing. The campground's practical side is simple and well-suited to families and RV travelers alike: there are 30 campsites in total 28 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents and 2 tent-only sites each equipped with 50-amp electric and water hookups, a picnic table, lantern holder and a campfire ring with grill. Sites are described as spacious and private, many positioned near or close to the water, and a bathhouse with hot showers and other comforts is provided on site. Service lies about four miles west of Coffeeville on U.S. Highway 84 (near mile marker 20), and the 50-amp hookups make the campground compatible with most towable and motorized rigs; for current fees, reservation policies and seasonal availability, call the facility at (334) 402-1605.
