“We always love staying at Edson Creek group sites and this year was no exception! It's such a beautiful, peaceful place. You may want to consider bringing some extra cleaning supplies for the toilets. We had to clean up and maintain that ourselves this year. ”
“Clean well kept camp ground close to the coast. You’re about 20 mins away from the beaches. Theres no privacy between campers and half of the camp sites are in the sun. Hosts were great. ”

Edson Creek Campground sits in open, meadow-style clearings along a small creek that feeds into the Sixes River, with stands of red alder and myrtlewood trees edging the grassy sites. The campground's inventory lists 37 individual campsites 34 that accommodate both RVs and tents and 3 tent-only sites and it also offers five group sites for larger parties. Four of those group sites (B E) are reached across the creek via a seasonal foot/vehicle bridge, while Group Site A is adjacent to the main loop; each group site is designed to hold up to about 25 people and all five are reservable. Amenities are straightforward and practical: picnic tables at each site, metal fire rings for campfires, and accessible toilets. A day-use area and a boat ramp sit across Highway 101 from the main campground entrance, providing a convenient place to launch small boats or cast a line on the Sixes River. Outdoor activities concentrate on water and shoreline recreation fishing, boating, wading and general water play along with sightseeing and wildlife watching in the surrounding riparian forest. Edson Creek is located off U.S. Highway 101 between Bandon and Port Orford; from the highway the turn onto Sixes River Road takes you about four miles east before the campground entrance just before the Edson Creek bridge. The local climate tends toward warm summer days with easy access to coastal points of interest such as Cape Blanco Lighthouse, the New River Nature Center, nearby Oregon State Parks and several beaches. For current fees, reservation options for individual sites, seasonal access (notably the bridge to the group sites), and up-to-date conditions call the Myrtlewood Field Office John Harper at 541-756-0100 or jharper@blm.gov or use the office address at 1300 Airport Lane, North Bend, OR 97459-2000.
