Beginning on September 1, 2026, the Lower Shelter, Campground Shelter and Day Lodge will be closed for renovations. Existing reservations will be honored, but there will be no new reservations made for dates after September 1 through the end of the project. These facilities will be reopened for reservations when the renovations are completed.

John Bryan State Park is distinguished by its remarkable limestone gorge, which the Little Miami State and National Scenic River cut many years ago. The gorge, a National Natural Landmark, offers hikers splendid views from the trail. A launch area outside the park provides paddlers with access to the river.
