“Friendly camp host. Really close to the outhouse style bathroom. We didn't have electricity so we drove into town and had pizza at the Tap Room. The people were great. Overall a really nice experience.”
“Clean bathrooms. Quiet campsites. A little bit of road noise but I was in a site that was close to the entrance (#4). It was nice to get off the main highway. ”

Spring Hill Campground sits among a stand of Lodgepole pines in the Pintler Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, in southwestern Montana. The site is roughly eight miles from Georgetown Lake and reached by traveling about 11 miles west of Anaconda on State Highway 1, so the feel is compact and mountain-forested rather than remote high plateau. There are nine campsites total, each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, and a pleasant picnic area for daytime use. Warm Springs Creek runs near the campground along Warm Springs Road, and surrounding ridgelines and nearby peaks give the area a variety of short trail options and places to watch for moose, elk, white-tailed deer and the occasional bighorn sheep. Outdoor options spill out from the road and campsite: Georgetown Lake, a high mountain reservoir above 6,000 feet, is the nearest water for boating and canoeing, while Warm Springs Creek and other local waters are known for trout fishing. Anglers commonly pursue rainbow, cutthroat, brook and brown trout in the creek; Georgetown Lake draws kokanee salmon and trout anglers, but note that Bull Trout may not be targeted and must be released immediately if caught. Hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers will find trails within a few miles, and the broader Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest supports biking, hunting, swimming, fly fishing, horse camping, overnight stays in fire lookouts/cabins and general wildlife viewing. For facility-specific information, reservations and current fees or seasonal access, call (406) 859-3211; if you book, remember cancellations must be made at least four days in advance.
