“We always love going to Kendall. It is a beautiful campground. I do wish the hand dryer in the ladies secondary bathroom could be fixed and the door to the first bathroom stall in the ladies primary bathroom could be fixed.”
“Host very friendly. Everything is clean. Campsite nice.”
“Enjoyed camping at Kendall. Loved the Halloween decorations. Weather was perfect. Campsite was clean with easy access. Glad it was pet friendly. Will definitely be returning”

Kendall Campground sits just below Wolf Creek Dam on the Cumberland River, a short drive south of Jamestown on US Highway 127, and looks out over the wide waters of Lake Cumberland and dense stands of mature hardwoods. The site's setting is quiet and wooded rather than open shoreline; you'll find easy access to a cold-water stream that's regularly stocked with rainbow, brook and brown trout, plus the half-mile Whispering Pines Trail that threads through the campground for a brief, non-strenuous walk. Wildlife viewing is common in the hardwoods, and because Lake Cumberland enjoys a temperate climate with a relatively long recreation season, the wider area supports boating, water sports, birding, horseback riding and other outdoor pursuits. The Wolf Creek Dam National Fish Hatchery is within walking distance and runs an Environmental Education Center with free tours year-round, while Lake Cumberland State Park (about 6.5 miles away) and several marinas with boat rentals and stores are a short drive when you want boat access, disc golf, or guided recreation. The campground itself contains 106 total campsites: 104 that accommodate both RVs and tents, one RV-only site, and one tent-only site. All sites include water and electric hookups, plus standard elements you expect at a managed campground picnic table, fire ring/grill and a lantern post and the park offers a group day-use picnic shelter with water and electric service. On-site amenities include a boat ramp, fish-cleaning station, playgrounds, a basketball court and a horseshoe pit, with the campground's facilities designed for mixed-use recreation rather than primitive backcountry camping. Sites are reservable; because this area attracts many visitors during warm months and holiday weekends, it's wise to make reservations in advance and to check the park's reservation and fee information before you go. Access is straightforward by car from major highways, and Kendall's combination of trout stream, short trails and ready boat access makes it a practical base for anglers, family groups and anyone looking to split time between lakeside recreation and short forest walks.
