Oscar Scherer State Park is a Florida State Parks campground in Osprey. It lists 40 RV or RV/tent sites for rigs up to 36 ft (official limit). Florida State Parks lists electric and water at every campsite; seven ADA sites.
Note
Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Canoes are rented at the Ranger Station and launched from the South Creek Picnic area. Fishing license required for non-Florida residents for saltwater; all visitors must have a license to fish freshwater except ifage 15 or under.
NOTE
For the safety of your pet and campers, campsites 70 through 90 are no pet sites.

The park gates close at sunset. If you plan to arrive late, please contact the park prior to 5 p.m. on the day of your arrival. /p>
Reservations may be made from one day up to eleven months in advanceof arrival date.

Pets are not allowed in any state park cabins or cabin areas.
Service animals are welcome in all areas of the park where visitors are normally allowed.
No one younger than 18 may camp overnight unless accompanied by aresponsible adult, who will remain onsite for the period rented.

Welcome to Oscar Scherer State Park. Surrounded by urban areas, Oscar Scherer is an unexpected oasis providing visitors with a refreshing escape into natural Florida. A hidden gem surrounded by housing developments and major highways, Oscar Scherer plays an invaluable role in the preservation of Florida scrub-jay habitat. Bald eagles nest here in the winter, and in the summer, Lake Osprey attracts anglers and swimmers. South Creek attracts anglers, canoers and kayakers. With 15 miles of trails, this park provides solitude, beauty, challenge and a healthy adventure for everyone. Oscar Sherer is a popular stopover for bicyclists and walkers on the Legacy Trail, making this an important place for the surrounding community and a worthwhile stop for travelers.
