Lake Manatee State Park is a Florida State Parks campground in Bradenton. It lists 40 RV or RV/tent sites for rigs up to 65 ft (official limit). Florida State Parks lists water and 30-amp electric; dump station.

Due to county closures, swimming in the lake may be halted for periods of time. If you plan to swim, please call the park before you make a reservation to find out about the current conditions.
ATTENTION
The park is located near the Desoto Speedway. Campers may experience noise on those days the speedway is holding events. Please visit the Desoto Speedway website at bradentonmotorsports.com/calander.html to view their current events schedule.
Note
DeSoto Memorial Speedway is located 1 mile east of the main park entrance and is open year round with special events Sept thru April and regular weekend races. At times, noise levels can be high. Alligators occur throughout Florida, in all bodies of water. Swimming with caution, during daylight hours, is permitted in Lake Manatee. Boat motors are restricted to 20 horsepower or less. A Florida freshwater fishing license is required for persons 16 years of age or older. Pets are permitted in the camping area. Written proof of Rabies vaccination by a veterinarian is required.

Welcome to Lake Manatee State Park. The park extends three miles along the south shore of its namesake, beautiful Lake Manatee. The lake was created when a dam was built across the Manatee River in the mid-1960s. Despite the park’s name, visitors cannot actually see manatees at this park because the dam blocks their access to the lake. The lake offers excellent freshwater fishing and anglers can fish from their boats or from the park's fishing docks. A boat ramp provides easy access to the lake for boating, canoeing and kayaking, however boat motors must be less than 20 horsepower. A swimming beach is located in our day-use area for those who want to cool off on those hot summer days or just soak in the rays. Swim at your own risk, as lifeguards are not provided. A restroom facility with showers is located near the beach. A large picnic area is nestled in oaks next to the lake. A picnic pavilion is available on a first-come, first-served basis or may be reserved for a fee. Visitors can enjoy full-facility camping just a short walk from the lake. The park’s natural habitats consists primarily of pine flatwoods and sand pine scrub with some depression marshes and hardwood forest. A hike down one of our trails is like taking a step back in time, providing a glimpse of ... the Real Florida . Lake Manatee State Park is located 15 miles east of Bradenton on State Road 64.

Pets are not allowed in any state park cabins or cabin areas.
Service animals are welcome in all areas of the park where visitors are normally allowed.
No one younger than 18 may camp overnight unless accompanied by a responsible adult, who will remain onsite for the period rented.
Please contact the park to ask about current limits on open campfires and the use or charcoal or propane grills.
