Andrew A ★ 2 · Apr 2021This was my second year camping at this campground. My family and I loved it because it’s right on the riverbed. I liked it because it’s only $5 a night. Last year all campsites were first come first serve which is fine. This year I had to book online the site (13) I wanted in advance which I did. When I arrived on a early Saturday morning there was a couple camped in my reserved site. I woke them up and let them know I reserved that spot. They told me someone stole there reserved spot and it was a free for all at this site with no site host to regulate. Eventually the people in my site packed up and left but it was ridiculous that we couldnt get a BLM ranger, Trooper or Ranger out there to regulate the campground. Its a really great campground and I can foresee some altercations arising amongst some unruly campers. All in all great spot. Now I know next year I can have a wood fire pit burning like everyone else and not worry about any BLM personnel showing up.
Damon R ★ 2 · Apr 2021We showed up to our spot. Great location by trees. set up camp but as time went on we realized that other people liked our spot to constantly driving by looking people walking next to our spot to get shade and swim. We have a dog so i had to hold her leash constantly. It seemed to be a free for all old western mentality. Guys would show up and park in Reserved spots and refuse to leave. A couple showed up that had planed their trip months in advance and asked if i would share my site because the guy next to us would not get out of their spot some jerk in a van. We found out this happen to other campers who paid to reserved as well. I said yes we had the room they were very nice people.
Heather S ★ 2 · Apr 2021This would be a great family campground however after having been there over Easter weekend we found out that there is no camp host. People are squatting on various sites. One morning we woke up to a few fellow campers arguing over campsites. The group we camped with paid for 3 sites, however, we only used 2. The remaining site was occupied by somebody else the entire weekend. If you do decide to book these sites be sure to bring proof as you may encounter someone on your site.

Crossroads Campground sits right on the shoreline of the Lower Colorado River where steep rocky bluffs give way to wind-sculpted sand and a narrow river beach. The site is compact there are 26 total campsites, all configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, and that total includes one accessible campsite so the feeling is more intimate than a large park. All sites are dry camping (no water), each providing a picnic table and grill; one vault toilet serves the loop and a Campground Host is on hand to answer questions. Wildlife is abundant along this linear oasis: anglers will find steady fish activity, birders can spot migratory species along the river, and small mammals move through the dunes and creosote stands nearby. Recreation centers on the river: boating, fishing, canoeing and swimming are all immediately available from the campground's frontage, and the nearby Rock House Visitor Center within about a mile operates a free boat launch that is open year-round and stocks maps and information. The campground sits along the Parker Dam Road Scenic Backcountry Byway (the local "Thread of Life"), so short drives or rides reveal rock-hounding spots, hiking and biking opportunities, and extensive OHV play areas such as the Copper Basin Dunes and Crossroads open area. Crossroads is popular with winter visitors seeking milder temperatures, but remember it's true dry camping bring your own water and supplies and be aware of access limits: oversized vehicles and trailers are not permitted to cross Parker Dam. From Lake Havasu City plan on roughly a 45-minute drive south onto the California side of the river; from Parker the campground is a short drive north after crossing the bridge.
